Just because I think some people may find this useful, I'll be posting a list of football games that are going to be available on Freeview within the upcoming week for those who want to watch football but don't want to, or can't, pay for Sky or BT.

Thank you. Hopefully this will make it easier for people to find football games and may make some people aware that games are on Freeview - particularly the ones on BT Sport Showcase.

An addition to the previous list: Northern Ireland U18s vs Wales U18s in the Centenary Shield will be broadcast on FreeSports (Freeview HD channel 95) at 14:00 tomorrow.

Apparently the England v Scotland under 18s are on free sports on the 23rd. 7pm KO

It is, looking at their schedule, which will no doubt be something for people not going to the Costa Rica game to keep an eye on. I'm guessing that they may have all the games in the Centenary Shield.

According to the sky sports app, the match against Costa Rica is on sky sports mix. I think that’s sky’s free channel

I think it's free for Sky subscribers, but I may be wrong about that.

Just having a look on a couple of betting sites (Bet365 and Ladbrokes), it appears that Swansea vs Tottenham (12:15) and Man Utd vs Brighton (19:45) in the FA Cup are both available for streaming should you have money in your account - both are on BT Sport 1 otherwise. So free if you've got money in your account.

Why is Scottish football struggling? Because of an armchair army watching English football on tv.

Great thread indeed.

I'm pretty sure Scottish football is up there amongst the best attended per head of population Alan. There are many problems in our game but I'm not sure that's one of them.

Agreed.

The next generations is a concern, they’re more interested in the glamour of the epl than the scottish game.

in saying that,I’m not sure what Alan’s point has to do with this thread.

There's plenty of kids/teens at Killie games. It's folk my age (30-40) that I'd say the numbers are low on but I'm guessing family commitments/kids come into it at our age!

I think it’s definitely that.

Me and my mate met at every home game and went to a good few Away games a season together (originally with our dads) from the age of 7 or 8 until we both had kids the last few years, at the moment we are probably on course for 10-15 games each this season which is above average as our cup runs account for a fair chunk of that.

Id imagine as my kids get older my frequency will increase as they can come along more regularly, but at that point pricing will become a big issue, was £12 for my 4 year old at NDP the other week and couldn’t justify that sort of price x2....
