Joined just before Euro 1992

Met Marjory Nimmo in Gothenburg and when i introduced myself she remembered where i came from

She was an absolute angel for all travelling fans and a lovely person

The decline started when she left and they commercialised it

Have renewed the last twice purely out of longevity

The likelihood of us having any success grows weaker as the standard of our football gets poorer with no light on the horizon

I guess its a cyclical thing with fans - you get to a point where they wear you down enough to chuck it but there is a younger more naive wannabe fan in the background to take your place

I really cant see any incentive

When I joined up I’m sure it was 10 or 15 a year.... little enough to make it an admin fee.  I was proud to be in it and it felt like mutually good value....  they got my small payment to cover admin costs, I got my guaranteed home ticket and tickets for euro96 and France 98.  At 50 for a campaign it feels like they are ripping the pi$$ and taking advantage....

it used to be called the travel club....   not the supporters club....  the purpose being to help with logistics and safety when travelling with the team and to ensure behaviour.  The more I think about it the more I feel they are taking the pi$$...  why bother with all the absolute tat they see as value?  A membership card and a tenner a year will do me fine thanks.

The main benefits are for those who travel to the majority of away games and like mass produced low quality t-shirts.

This takes us back to the days of a travel club but the reasonable % of fans who want to guarantee all home games without the admin offers too big a financial carrot to not continue as a supporters club.

Personally, I make use of the benefits as someone who travels regularly but cannot justify £50 for the privilege when its still upwards of £40 for most match tickets.

However ,with most of the games  moved away from Saturday I can see why many members won't get their money's worth if they can't make midweek matches .

While still getting the "week of football", looks like a number of nations (most likely the home nations) have been pushing UEFA to have a rethink on the kick off times, as there was some more details released this week and now there is 2pm Sat and Sun kick off time.

Assuming that's CET then it'll be a 1pm kick aff here. Still better than the 7:45 on a Saturday night we had last campaign

No, that Is GMT, as its 3pm CET.

Its only a "optional" time, but if offered, I can see the SFA ripping UEFA's hand off for that.

Pretty much so UEFA can now do 8-9 hours of constant international football at weekends..... ie Scotland v Israel at 2pm, Ireland v Netherlands at 5pm and Italy v Germany at 7:45pm.

Another email today telling us that they have fuck all to tell us.

I just came on here to say the same thing . Unbelievable. They will probably charge the 4 guys in the picture an extra tenner for the privilege.

A total no brainer for us to get 2pm kick offs if we are at home over a weekend. Know of a fair few lads who would go then but don't for midweeks or the late weekend kick offs.

Another odd email, might as well just said "please wait". Do they not know how much they are going to charge yet ?

"As 2016-17 members, you will be the first to find out when the renewal date is announced"

Lucky i'm a member, I will know when I have to renew first. Those non-members will have to wait to hear when members can renew !

I don't think there are any members now. Did we not all expire at the end of 2017. :D
