I'd assume that NI gets its own political discussion programmes (though I have no actual notion whether or not this is the case). I also assume that mainland politics is of pragmatic interest to the Northern Irish electorate, since the continuation of their state depends on it to a great extent, and none of the unrepresented parties you mention have much sway in mainland politics. So all in all, I can see where the producers are coming from ... I'd agree with you to an extent, however, if its not to reflect the different political views across the country what is the point in Question Time actually going around the country in the first place. Whether or not, NI has its own political programs or not isn't really relevant, a UK wide program should be reflecting what is going on in NI to the wider UK. gkm_vancouver
I could only watch half of the programme last night. If the politicians and audience are anything to go by, it must be an awful place to live in. The troubles may ahve quelled but the bad feeling is still there and they are still way behind with abortion and gay marriage...

Things might not be as bad as they were previously but its still not all sweetness and light, just tends not to get reported on the "mainland". http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/northern-ireland-crime-at-20-year-low-but-number-of-paramilitary-shootings-victims-doubles-35724667.html

kumnio
Really dislike Shami and quite like Jacob, which is contradictory to their opinions and viewpoints. Quite strange.

Alibi
Can't stand that smarmy hypocrite Owen Jones. I hope Jeanne Freeman keeps reminding him that Labour are in power in Wales and making a right arse of it on every issue he tries to raise - NHS, education, police, you name it. Toepoke
I think wee Jeane could be good on this. Last week I'd heard Brian Souter was going to be on it, which may not have been as good (he said politically).
wee-toon-red
Owen Jones used to make some decent points until he decided to jump on the Corbyn bandwagon for the benefit of his career. Now he's just another soundbite specialist whose every move is designed to help him get elected in the next GE.
