heading there at the end of the month for a drunken weekend

anybody got any recommendations for decent pubs (live music), a good place for watching the scores on saturday afternoon

and something to do non drink related for about 2 hours?

Had a pool team weekend there a few months ago. Really enjoyed it. Markie Dans would be my choice for live music/football.

Boat trip to Fingal's Cave? Distillery Tour (drink related though). There's also a pictures there. Ferry to Mull and back.

Head out to Dunstaffanage Castle, my second favourite castle, interesting history, lovely setting and go through the woods to the ruined chapel.

Nice walk up to McCaigs Tower and beautiful views if it’s nit raining.

If you have a car head to Isle off Seil and from there to Easdale

directions, http://www.easdaleisland.com/directions.html

Easdale,

Nice wee restaurant on the island, The Puffer Bar,  or another on mainland just beside ferry stop, The Oyster Bar.

Forgot to say that Easdale is where they have the annual World championship stone skimming competition and take your trunks/mankini and go for a swim in one of the quarries. Ask at Puffer for directions to easiest one to get into, really easy swim but clearest water in a lovely setting and you can walk in , NO plunging. If you’re not a confident swimmer just stick to skimming stones and visiting the tiny wee museum.
