As you say, the smart move was to build a philosophy and style of play throughout the club. A few Championship level players would've supplemented their young players and given them the protection from the lower league haddies, enabling them to play.

Instead they signed Fran Sandaza and Kevin Kyle on huge wages and developed very few young players and, by most accounts, played terrible football.

I agree with all your comments. However part of the issue was they had McCoist in charge who wouldn’t know a philosophy and play style if they came up and patted him on the held.

He only knew the old Rangers way of signing the biggest names you can for as much money as you can afford. Or not afford but still spend anyway.

Therefore another not so smart move by them to appoint him.

Lee McCulloch is being quite vocal just now. Is he trying to get himself into the frame to be the next Rangers manager? :(

I listen to Radio Scotland through a phone app at my work. The customer was asking who the high pitched squeaky voice was coming through my phone.

He's a "Rangers man" though and knows what Rangers stand for. That's what's important.

That phrase drives me mental. Nobody even knows what it feckin means!

Even the bloody media spout shite like this. Its just lazy thinking by stupid people.

I'd much rather have someone who knows what they're doing and has never heard of Rangers before.

Im slightly ashamed to admit, I listen to a fair bit of Talksport at work, and the names Jim White and Alan Brazil are touting are ridiculous. Using the patter above. Stuart McCall, Ally Mccoist, he who has no surname...

Its frightening how out of touch they are with Scottish football.

Twice this week I’ve heard the “Scottish Football needs a strong Rangers” line.

Agree, I enjoy some.of talksport and other bits I can't stand. Alan Brazil is an utter twat, so full of himself.

Jim white asked someone on the phone in if Scotland needed a strong rangers and the guy said no, white then changed the convo completely

I actually don’t mind Alan Brazil, he’s (surely) a bit of a caricature?

I heard that call, an Aberdeen fan.

He's an absolute wanker. I mind he went on a big rant about his lack of sympathy for Robin Williams and how he was selfish. A guy who should've stayed in the 70's with his cuntish viewpoints belong.

Talksport really do specialise in ignorant cunt presenters. A truly awful radio station.

Not sure what you mean by deplores tan coloured individuals but it wasn't Rangers fans that threw bananas at opposition players.

If you want to have a go a racism then you're looking in the wrong place.

The other 2, sadly I have no real argument for. Hence the reason I don't want a Rangers man as the manager.

It wasn't just them. And let's be clear that every club has its share of racist scumbags. Its just some are worse than others.

Really, iv never seen bananas thrown the pitch at Easter Road

I didn't say there had been. Why are you so sensitive about the issue and Hibs?

I wasn’t pointing out any one club, I was pointing out that part of Ormonds post was utter shite.

In my opinion the TAMB needs to go back to what it says on the can. Too many people use it as a way of spouting hatred about other clubs and fans. Is this a Scotland thing or a medium to let small minded people the likes of yon parklife fella just spout his hatred of rangers?  When you get rid of the likes of that hatred stuff and tell them to f off and go to their own club websites this could be a place for Scotland supporters again.  I only watch it now and again and so sad to see the hatred that arises from the same folk on here.  If they were at a Scotland trip they would not have the guts to spout out.  But as WGS says 'keyboard warriors with two cans of kestrel and a whippet'.  Scotland fans my erse.

Livi managed to go through the leagues (quicker than Rangers) spending a fraction of the money.

Gretna didn't even spend anywhere near the money Rangers did.

Paying guys like Kevin Kyle 5k or whatever is fucking suicidal.

Livingston and Gretna are hardly examples of financial wisdom, both went bust stuffing folk for thousands. Charlatan Milleson was paying 4 figure wages per week to players in the 2nd division.

Oh, I think it's always been like that.

It's the spelling and grammar that's seriously going downhill.

You know better than me Flure but I’m not sure it has.

I remember there being club debates but I don’t remember terms like ‘hun cunts’ being thrown about pretty much every post.

Maybe as you suggest, people had a better grasp of diction so were able to get their points across without resorting to that sort of stuff.

I see Parklife mentioned again but I think he gets picked on for the wrong things a lot of the time. He’s not one that constantly insults fellow posters. Whether people like the way he puts his point across or not, it’s usually made well, is pretty accurate, fair and difficult to disagree with.
