No because Bosnia lost tonight. Highest points tally they can now get is 11 with a final game win (they're on 8 now), ours will be 14 if we beat Slovenia. Greece overtook them into 2nd last night but their final game is Gibraltar, so won't count, therefore, they will end up on 13 points no matter their final game result Edited October 8, 2017 by Bobby Russell's Lovechild

That's his business, and a pretty common Scottish trait that we've seen plenty of on this board in the last year or two. .... What I hate though is that he's getting paid a ton of money to wear a cheap suit and give "analysis" that can be proved wrong with even just a cursory glance at the league tables, the fixtures and a calculator. How do these guys get away with not actually doing any research? It's Scotland he's talking about. If he can't even give a meaningful opinion on that, what's he got for all the other countries he's no doubt got to talk about? If it was filmed before the Bosnia result, he would have been correct. they've_been_suckered
The lack of understanding on what is actually a reasonably straight forward ranking process is frightening.

They have 13 points and will stay like that. Regardless of gib result. If we draw most we can have is 12. That's not correct at all. If Greece don't beat Gibraltar and Bosnia do beat Estonia, then Greece would drop out of second spot in their group and therefore be replaced in the second-place teams list by Bosnia, who would be on 11 points. That is why Slovenia still have a tiny chance of qualifying and that is why we still have a tiny chance of qualifying with a draw. Given that both scenarios require Greece failing to win at home to Gibraltar AND Slovakia failing to win at home to Malta AND Bosnia winning in Estonia, then it is probably about a 0.25% chance for either scenario, so pretty close to non-existent/irrelevant/discountable. Why do so many people make mistakes and need the permutations explained to them? How can people not work these out for themselves, it's really not difficult! Whilst technically correct in that we could've finished ninth out of the second placed teams, it would've taken 5 or 6 "wrong" results all to go against us for that to happen. Including a couple of fairly unlikely ones. Burley was implying he thought we'd likely finish ninth in the second placed table, but even prior to the Belgium win it was much more likely than not that a win tonight would've seen us 8th or better. As it turns out that is now a certainty. Now we need to go and actually get that win.
