Better late than never match thread aye def a pen ref got that wrong but was right to send that wee cheating hunt aff

Agree with that, the two or three yellows at the free kick was a bit mental though.

Can see more reds coming tonight.

Robertson having a stormer, Forrest decent too (yes, he is). Storming tackle from Fletcher to prevent that Hamsik shot.

Need to get more men into the box for the crosses though.

What on earth was going through Mak's mind without dive on a yellow?

Patience required here.

This is going to be difficult. If Slovakia weren't playing for a draw before, they will be now.

Not sure if the fault lies with the final ball or the fact that it's Griffiths vs. six Slovakians every time.

Agree. Feel we needed to score straight after sending off or certainly before half time. Think we might struggle to score now.

We are getting into lots of good positions but you could say poor final ball but when you only have one maybe two in the box then playing a telling pass is harder. We really need to flood the box.

Robertson is playing excellent. Morriaon and Forrest holding onto the ball too long. I am close to tears watching, lump in my throat. I took the day off work for this, against 10 men if it were not for two great saves we would be up. They are still a threat but lets get the goal we need and deserve.

Been pretty much as predicted so far, very insipid, little mobility or creativity and lots of useless crosses being launched into the box. Overall it's a Strachan masterclass in the way he often sends his teams out in the hope that something happens rather than making it happen.

Now is his opportunity to define his reign as manager, either keep the same 11 for the next 20 mins and hope we get a goal from a set piece or deflection etc, or get Mcginn, Mcgregor and/or Fraser on early doors and make something happen. Slovakia are very comfortable and as we get more desperate and the full backs get higher up the pitch, they will have a real chance to nick a goal, we can eradicate that by making the required changes, let us see if he does.

Both Bannan and Forrest are dire. Bannan the more dire of the two, marginal mind. Phillips not having a good game and Tierney isn’t as productive playing for us. Stonewall penalty mind.

Forrest did well in the build-up to the Griffiths chance.

Can see Strachan bringing on either Fletcher or Martin for Bannan in the second half should it remain level after about 60 minutes; go 4-4-2.

Think Tierney should've had a penalty and all the Slovak yellow cards were yellows. Just need that breakthrough - their keeper has made a couple of  very good saves, so we just have to keep creating chances and we'll hopefully take one of them. Breaking them down will not be easy though.

Agree totally.

I think we’ve been pretty good first half against a good team. Phillips the weak link for me and we need to sacrifice one of the centre mids.

I'd take off both Phillips and Bannon and bring on McGregor and either Fletcher or Martin.
