j b lyons
The starting price for these tickets is ridiculous - £69 minimum Be expensive enough just getting there & accommodation costs will be astronomical and then there is the issue of venues, from what I have seen some group match venues could be as much as 500 miles apart so travel costs / methods within Russia will be a further problem. If we do qualify I think it will take a lot of soul searching before deciding to go & the bank manager (wife) certainly will not be happy

Parklife
If we qualify, the price of tickets will be an irrelevance to most, including myself.
j b lyons
Based on experiences of some Chelsea lads I know when they went for Champions League final, hotels tripled prices and bars and restaurants also 'cashed in'. Travel within Russia is not great and realistically I would think the only way for most will be 'package trips' & like you say probably only one match at a time. Been to all the European WC's since 1974 but can see this one possibly passing me by

I was quoting the price of tickets as an indicator of how pricing in general will be, travel and hotel costs will be horrendous and I would not fancy the camping option for Russia unlike France and Spain was

Parklife
I'll go for as long as we're in it. Don't care what it costs. It's been 20 years since we were in a WC, at this rate I'll be 50 by the time we're in another one.

You had at least the same distances if not further between venues in Brazil. I was at a couple games in Rio then flew up to Fortaleza for another game. That was about a 3 hour flight.
