dandydunn
Wasn’t a great night for football tonight, but job done regardless. Last game of the year on Saturday, not really looking forward to seeing Christie being kicked black and blue, but hey ho, that’s what generally happens when hearts are in town. Dreadful game, Motherwell did what they set out to do in the first half, but made a poor Rangers side look decent in the second half. Rarely see a referee change his decision based on the crowd reaction, so seeing it happen twice in one game was something new. My dreadful record at Ibrox continues.... There is video footage on twitter. A truly horrendous challenge. In fact its not a challenge. Must be a stonewall red card and couple of game ban surely, based on Jack's last red card experience? Or does it change the tackle when you don't like one of the people involved? 🤔

Unfortunate for Jack, but completely innocuous. Although that doesn’t really fit the “Motherwell are thugs” narrative.

Hibs have now lost ground to Aberdeen and Rangers which could potentially cost us a European place due to the officials inefficiency The linesman should certainly have spotted that offside before the 'goal'

Pool Q
Probably was technically offside in the build up to the goal, but a very close call and it’s understandable that the focus has been on the failure of the officials to see the ball was over the line. Farcical, looking at the highlights. The Stevenson handball was a penalty, but after the disallowed Hibs goal, we can hardly complain about that. A poor game that neither team deserved to win. You'll know that narratives are collected groups of events. Excluding Kipre's first challenge (which in no way innocuous imo) just looking at your first half yellows, Kipre's second (going through Herrera leaving him bleeding) and Tait's (kicking Holt) certainly seems to suggests a team approach. And thats only what the ref picked up on. The Herald called it 'cynical, boarding on downright dirty at times'. Hard to disagree. He could easily have avoided the challenge but either decided to stick it to Jack or got caught in 2 minds and ended up just being clumsy. I can't tell if he meant it or not but it deserved a red. A report of connected events, real or imaginary, and selected by the narrator, to create a representation of a situation or process. Any Neil Lennon interview will make clear the importance of the highlighted bit. Whether Motherwell actually were thuggish last night I've no idea. Agreed, but I would argue that when you have fans from a number of clubs all providing the same narration - then it becomes a story. Anyway try to avoid watching last nights match. We were slightly less bad for long periods. Carson is a decent keeper Looking bleak for the weekend. Brassrubber
Hibsmythagain FC - did yelly teef mention how far plug was offside at the "goal" or the 2 hubz hand balls in their own box or they had one shot on target in the whole game - good to Hear the Celtic Lite fans are adopting their big teams songs though .
