If McTominay (and it's still an if) turned down a call last time and not Mourinho's out saying "Scotland should call him up because England look like they need a player like him".. well.. it does sound like more of an advertisement to England than to Scotland. Hopefully it's all just as it seems and Mourinho is touting his player to Scotland and McTominay will accept the call if McLeish gives it.. things aren't normally straight forward with Mourinho tho. McTominay turned down a call to the under-21s, IIRC, apparently to focus on his club career. Mourinho's comments could be read either way. Certainly, if he's getting regular game time for a top end EPL team then he's likely to have appeared on Engalnd's radar. It would be great if he chose Scotland instead though. fringo Posted February 24, 2018 Share Posted February 24, 2018 Since Robertson got a regular game for Liverpool a few months back he's consistently been one of their better players in a team of top players. The only way Klopp could ever consider dropping him would be if they managed to sign a young Maldini or Roberto Carlos.
