Rangers have just drawn 1-1 with Marseilles at Ibrox. A decent performance by all accounts.

Marseille were 4/5 before kick off which lead to a fair bit of money going on them. Glad it wasn't mind. Never bet on friendlies.

A friendly at the end of the day, but it was a decent performance.  Couple of weeks late mind .

There was a good few decent performances and they played some good stuff at times.  Defence has definitely tightened up and looks a bit more solid, and attacked with pace, for a change.  Having said that, one of the CBs should have won the cross for their goal.

Absolute stupidity to bet on a friendly given the impact the number of subs can have on a match.

Off to Sunderland on Saturday. Any decent pubs/ones to avoid around the stadium?

Their is a cracking old miners pub just across the road from the stadium that is good to grab a beer in and has a good beer garden area, apart from that never really ventured into Sunderland itself.

As Wanderer said, the Colliery Tavern opposite the stadium is decent, it can be busy on match days but they serve beer in tents etc in the beer garden bit at the side.

The Dun Cow is located just over the Wearmouth Bridge and is a decent option as it's had a recent refit.

Chaplains and Isis are nice pubs too. Sunderland deaf club and The Victory are decent and all on the walk from the centre to the stadium over Wearmouth Bridge.

Theres a row of pubs just next to Sunderland Minster and they all do happy hour type things on match days so popular pints are as cheap as £1.50 a pint in some of those places.

Id avoid the Halfway House at the top of hill next to the stadium as it's pretty rough. I'd also avoid The Wheatsheaf as it bit of a homers pub and wouldn't  guarantee a warm welcome.

I'd avoid Sunderland full stop and drink in Newcastle before and after!

Sunderland isn't great but though much better Newcastle is usually jam packed on a Saturday so getting in anywhere could be a pain, though it should be OK before the game.

Celtic fans being bad boys in Sunderland

something to Do with Tommy Robinson

He's been posting pics in a Rangers top and provoking Celtic fans with insults since yesterday. He was working at a "white person's shop" because the Asian one in the same street funds terrorism, according to him.

Video of the young team attacking it and he's nowhere to be seen until the police arrive and one of the Celtic fans is laying on the ground after being hit with a bat, then he gets all mouthy.

Just the usual shite from him and the Celtic fans were daft to get involved but hopefully lesson learned for them. Shut happens when you're a teenager I suppose, it's just that nowadays you'll be all over the internet when it does.
