Scottish teams in Europe

Recommended Posts

Really poor result for Aberdeen, although not entirely unexpected. Theres only so far you can get with getting the ball wide and launching it into the box for 90 minutes, you're always going to come unstuck against teams with better fitness, technical ability and are willing to be more agressive.

McInnes' fault tonight.

Every Aberdeen fan I know would've went with a 5 at the back & Maynard up front.

Everyone apart from McInnes and Scotty would've done that.

Beaten by the better team tonight, no complaints at all. Don't score, you don't go through.

Simple as that.

Nice attitude from Christie, zero respect for cheats.

Come on man, we've been playing european football for 70 years, teams abroad are cleverer than us, the sooner we wise up the better.

I agree that is the major problem, it's the same way the international team has gone in decline.

Scottish teams don't know how to cheat, time waste and be street smart, until they do, there will be no progress made.

Id rather lose than cheat like that though.

Things learnt from today's game...

- Adam Rooney remains the only option up front.

- Scott Wright SHOULD be a regular starter this season (ahead of Stewart).

- Tansey is not up to standard in open play, and won't last more than a season at Aberdeen.

- Shinnie should be a lot closer to the Scotland squad than McLean (knew that already).

- FIFA has done nothing to stop referees from ruining the game by allowing consistent play acting to go entirely unpunished.

I agree - other than the Rooney bit. We have no options up front!!
