HIGHTOWER 1314 Posted March 16, 2017 Author Share Posted March 16, 2017 Just a wee update on teds gig on june 17th at styx in kirkcaldy.Here is a rough rundown of the night but may change as we get closer to the date.Tickets are £5 and will be available either from me or other members of the kta committee and we may possibly even have them at the shettleston juniors club pre match next sunday.All profit to the the tartan army sunshine appeal and a local good cause we are supporting this year. 7pm - DOORS OPEN 8pm - TED CHRISTOPHER 9pm - BREAK TO SELL RAFFLE TICKETS AND HAVE THE BUFFET 10pm - TED BACK ON STAGE 11pm -RAFFLE DRAW 11.30pm - TED BACK ON STAGE 12.30pm - END OF SHOW 12.45pm - 2am DJ at JACKIE O`S [which is what styx is called on a saturday and they do play all the golden oldies] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

HIGHTOWER 1314 Posted March 25, 2017 Author Share Posted March 25, 2017 All the money raised from this gig will be split between the TARTAN ARMY SUNSHINE APPEAL and a wee girl who lives local called EMMA IRELAND SMITH.Here is a wee bit of info about the bairn and why we are looking to raise a lot of dosh from the gig. Emma Ireland Smith was born a healthy, happy baby on 10/11/11. On 6th January 2016 at the age of only 4, Emma suffered from a stroke - a condition extremely rare in children. The cause remains unknown but is normally related to an underlying condition. As a consequence of the stroke Emma has been diagnosed with Dystopia - a movement disorder in which a person's contract uncontrollably. The contraction causes Emma 's right arm and leg to twist involuntarily, resulting in repetitive movements or abnormal postures. Emma is now learning how to lead with her left hand. Emma now requires a night splint for her arm and an all day splint for her leg. She will require medication for the rest of her life and is currently undergoing a range of treatment, including: Occupational therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and language therapy and ongoing MRI scans. HIGHTOWER 1314 Posted May 28, 2017 Author Share Posted May 28, 2017 Looking forward to seeing you at our CHARITY GIG for 2 good causes neil.If you arent going and just taking the piss because you dont like ted then i hope you are pleased with yourself.Do you know that the wee girl that we are looking to raise money for had a stroke at the age of 4 yes 4 years old.Instead of enjoying her childhood and running about like a normal 6 year old as she is now she is in and out of hospital.She has dystonia and cant control her arms properly and some of the money we are going to give her family is to get are splints for her arms.We also found out that her 19 year old cousin has just been diagnosed with leukaemia so the family is going through a lot.If ted coming along can help us raise a few quid for T.A.S.A and EMMA then how fantastic is that he is doing this.So if you want to come along pay £5 for your ticket and have a great night with fellow tartan army while listening to ted and raising money then that is fantastic.If you are just wanting to take the piss out of ted then go some where else cause i cant be bothered with it.
