  1. Totally agree with this. Our main strength becomes a weakness when we need a Plan B as the squad is imbalanced with an excess of central midfielders. I'm not at all for throwing the baby out with the bathwater and sacking Clarke, but the squad needs a refresh in some form. Why is Greg Taylor selected? Kenny McLean has been a good servant, but he's not at the standard of other players and weakens the team when he comes on. Paterson is a liability, which is why he hasn't been playing for Everton. I've always thought Ralston looked good when played, but he can't get a game at Celtic either. In the absence of Hickey, we're severely weakened on the right hand side of defence. We're crying out for an option in the wide forward areas, with a player(s) who can run at people.
  2. @TA-West Germany, first off wanted to say a huge thanks for all the info you've posted it's been a massive help to me already. I'm currently weighing up accommodation options, which is unsurprisingly limited by now. I'm looking at Duisburg or the south of Bonn, around Bad Godesberg. Have you got any insights you can share on either of those? Which would be better for travelling to/from Cologne? Better for bars/restaurants etc? TIA
  3. So the ticket resale window now won't open again to buy tickets until early May. How is anyone meant to plan their travel and accommodation around that?! UEFA putting 'fans first' as ever 🙄
  4. Cheers for the responses. Will hold in case there's anyone else in the same boat for the Hungary game...
  5. I've got 3 x Cat 3 tickets for the Scotland vs Switzerland match in Cologne. However, my brother now can't make it because his son's graduation is the following day back in Dundee. Thought I'd post on here on the slim chance that someone might have 3 x Hungary tickets they'd be keen to swap... It's a long shot but thought it worth an ask. If not, I'll wait for the Uefa ticket resale window to reopen (though when is anyone's guess) to see if I can get any joy there.
  6. For me, we've got to get away from playing 5-3-2 and trying to fit so many primarily defensive minded midfielders into the same team. I realise it is the strongest area of the squad but I feel it leaves us devoid of creativity. We also now have some Centre half's playing at a decent level, meaning there is not the same need for additional cover in that area of the pitch. Not that the extra bodies has helped us to concede fewer goals anyway. I'd love to see us line up against Denmark in a 4-3-3 (4-5-1 out of possession). Playing Tierney left wing, in front of Robertson, would allow them to continue operating in much the same way as they have of late when Tierney has brought the ball out of defence and drove forward. The three in centre midfield could be pretty interchangeable, with McGregor, Armstrong, Christie, Jack, Gauld and Turnbull all able to slot in. The team I'd like to see in September would be: Marshall Patterson Hanley Cooper Robertson Mctominay Mcginn Gilmour Fraser Tierney Adams
  7. Is anyone able to share an access code so I can check if any very, very last minute tickets have been released by Uefa? Really don't want to spend £300 a ticket to line the pockets of some tout. Cheers
  8. Sadly that's why we're in league C. That is our level. To think we deserve to qualify for a tournament is fanciful. To think we would do anything if we got there is deluded.
