  1. La Liga 2 is far better technically than the English Championship; I think the top 6 teams in La Segunda would comfortably finish mid table in the EPL. English football isn't as good as it's hyped up to be.
  2. Talking about goal difference, I thought the last ten minutes of the match were so frustrating. The amount of times we had opportunities to go forward but instead played it back into defence was annoying. It seemed as if they were content with three but when we have a deficit of several goals behind Slovakia why were we not busting a gut to get more?
  3. Why not? You don't get anywhere in life without taking risks. Failing isn't the problem - it's the way in which we fail. If we show some bravery and get knocked out then that's fine, but if we go out on a whimper then that's not acceptable. Kenny Dal would always be a hero no matter what he did. We're not stupid - we know the Scotland job is one of the hardest jobs in football. Anyway, realistically I want Big Eck; he was brave the last time and I think he would be brave again.
  4. Definitely. There would be parasites at the SFA who wouldn't want Fergie or The King to be manager of Scotland, only because these two are probably, if not definitely, the most powerful men in Scottish football. When these two speak, not only Scotland, but whole footballing world listen and those wee shysters at the SFA would be knocked right off their perches. If one of them had to say that they fancied the job then there would be no if, buts, or maybes. As you say, they've never shown an interest which is disappointing.
  5. I really enjoyed watching the team under Big Eck's tenure; he didn't mind playing two up front. He did do a Judas which was shit but he was only 48 at the time. He's older now and he's has had a tough few years lately, maybe he would appreciate it more now. For me, it's either Big Eck or Kenny, although I doubt Dalglish would take it now, maybe he might have after his spell at Liverpool, but I doubt it now.
  6. I'm really disappointed as I thought WGS might have been the one to get us out the 20 year doldrum that we're in, but alas, he's just losing the plot - his heid's went aw' mincey!! The first signs were after the Georgia game but now it's just embarrassing. I have to admit I was wrong - I thought we were on the right road but this campaign has been a disaster; I think we're going backwards. We were lucky in Malta, shocking on Saturday and tonight, although we passed it quite well in the 1st half, there was just no cutting edge and the 2nd half was quite painful. Why did he drop Ollie Burke (and sub him on Saturday)? Why did he wait until the 64th minute to bring subs on? Why did Snoddy play the full 90mins? TBH, I really hoped King Kenny would have got the job before Levein's disastarous 2nd campaign as it was obvious after his 1st that Levein was out his depth. Dalglish had just finished his stint with Liverpool 4 months prior and won them their first silverware in a few years, and nearly won the double. I just think Dalglish would set the team up to attack, would have the respect of the players, the media and the country, but more importantly, he'd have the power to shake up the SFA too. Those Kuntz at the SFA need purged !!!
  7. Not too bad for the Irish, it could have been worse. If it had've been us, we'd have got Ukraine or Sweden for sure.
  8. I watched the Malta v Croatia match just to get a look at our group rivals and tbh Malta played quite well in the 2nd half; Croatia only won 1-0. Jings, crivvens and help ma boab !!!!
  9. I know this might be a bit premature but I would probably even give wee Strach a 4 year contract. This is the first campaign I've enjoyed for years and I think if given a chance he'll get us where we want to be. It's those corrupt assholes at the SFA that need sorting out. Wee Gary Naismith was on the radio the other night and he said it cost him 10K to do his coaching badges. 10K !! - who's got a spare 10K to get coaching qualifications? In Germany it costs 1,000 euros, in Spain, it's just over 2,000 euros, and in Scotland and England, it's £10,000. WTF are we playing at? Every school in Scotland should have an SFA coach but because of these greedy wee assholes we don't have enough coaches. When are we going to take affirmative action against these pricks?
  10. I would definitely give WGS another crack at the whip as I think we've played some nice stuff at times and scored some nice goals. I remember under Burley and Levein I'd actually dread watching us because you knew we were going get pumped or going to be bored oot oor skulls. At least under wee Strach we've had a bit of excitement and but for one really disgusting performance in Tbilisi we'd have made the play-offs. I say get rid of the shysters at the S.F.A !!
