PLEASE READ: TAMB is not closing!   10/12/2017

Just to provide an update on the future of the Tartan Army Message Board. To be clear the board will not be closing and instead will be staying open and will hopefully go from strength to strength. Who Are We? We are a group of Scotland supporters who have varied skills and expertise, along with experience of  being involved in football and running football message boards. When we heard the TAMB faced closure, we contacted the old team with a detailed plan which involved financing and running the board. After speaking to the old team on a number of occasions they have allowed us to put our plan into action. While speaking to them and going on their experience and that of those before them, we have elected to keep our identity private, however rest assured we have the best intentions for the board and those on it. Our Plans. Our plan will involve a number of stages which we hope will not only keep the board going but help improve and rejuvenate it. Our first step will be to do a bit of a clean-up of the board. This will involve some downtime for a few hours where posting will be disabled. We plan to do this early next week, a full notice will be posted on the board then. Once that is completed we will be upgrading the current board platform, both behind the scenes and hopefully aesthetically too. There will be an ongoing process of board improvements which we hope you, the user will help us with, so you have a board you will enjoy We thank the old board team for all their hard work, dedication and their help during this handover and hope you will all help support our plans going forward.

  1. Anyone got a link for this?
  2. In my stupidity I didn't make a back up on iTunes or icloud
  3. Seeing as the TAMB is a wealth of information I am hoping someone here might have some knowledge of data recovery. I am trying to recover deleted text messages from an Iphone6 and so far Apple have been less than useful. I have tried a downloadable third party app which was ok until they asked me for $69 to continue. I also got a quote from a company in Sheffield that wanted £400 to do it! It is only a few texts I need recovered but they are very important. If anyone can recommend a free app or somewhere reliable and cheap that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance
  4. Not sure if this is good or bad for our upcoming match in November?
  5. cheers, links working a treat
  6. Does anyone have a decent link for those of us without SkySports?
  7. last summer told me 28 times that a new phone had been sent out to me. 28 times they were wrong! Spoke to customer service people from all over the world and they were all as equally useless
  8. Simon Howie's veggie haggis is supposed to be nice but I tried a bit of it and it still tastes like cardboard. Veggie haggis is just wrong, we don't say 'I'd like a salad but I can't eat vegetables so make me a veg-free salad'. We'd be eating meatballs for tomatoes and sausages for cucumbers!
  9. Murray's pies in Perth are the world champions of pies. I thought all pies were pretty much the same but Murray's are in a different pie league.
  10. Gary is not being 'forced' into anything. I'm quite sure that he knows another payday like this (£100,000) will not come round again. I hope he does well but can't see him lasting longer than 3 or 4 rounds
  11. Country. Cannot fathom why any Scot would put their club team above their country. Well, maybe 55% would...
  12. Tried pm'ing you but says to cannot receive any more pms. If you could pm the no that would be great Cheers
  13. Right, been thinking about this for the last couple of hours. Scotland were dreadful last night, naive in thought and pedestrian in everything they did. To not even get a shot on target against a World Cup pot five team was a disgrace. However, I think we'll take points off Germany on Monday, perhaps even win. I'd love to tell you how we're going to do it but I would be making it up. So it's either despair in our mediocrity or believe Scotland are still capable, and likely, of upsetting the odds. I'm going for the latter because the former is too depressing. Simple as that really, believe we will win because it feels nicer! Yes, I was drinking last night.
  14. Any space on a supporters bus from Perth on Monday? It's just the one seat i'm after
