  1. This time the seedlings are purely based on qualifying, so if we win the group we’ll be either pot 1 or pot 2, which would be massive for us. There are six groups in Germany 24 with the hosts automatically one of the top seeds, so the other five top seeds will have the best qualifying record from the 10 group winners (in groups of six, games against the bottom team are discounted). As Todd says, if we carry on the way we are, we’ll be top seeds!
  2. Fiorentina are apparently also trying to sign Doig.
  3. I’d start Gilmour for Christie (great sub to come on) and Move McTominay and McGinn up one. Other than that keep the same team, but as TB says push Hickey and the overlapping Centre Half Tierney further up the pitch to take the game tae them 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  4. Excellent analysis, Judith. What a great chance we’ve given ourselves to qualify for consecutive Euros. Being in Germany with the TA would be incredible. I can’t wait to be in Hampden tomorrow night with ma two laddies and pals 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  5. Loving that sentiment and I completely agree. Apart from the shambles in Dublin, this NL campaign has been excellent. Going up to NL Group A means some massive games coming up (and great trips!), it’s great having the security of a play-off, but getting back to being a pot two seeded team for the Euro qualifiers is brilliant 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  6. I also very much agree with you, Squirrelhumper 😂👌
  7. I agree with you. They played well against the best team in the tournament and have a decent chance against the Welsh.
  8. I’m also on 14 points, but I think we’ll have a good chance of getting a ticket 🤞🏻That said, I hope we’re in the final against Austria so more of us can get in.
  9. I wasn’t really convinced by Cooper for a long time, but he was excellent in Moldova and against the Danes last night, so he is winning me over. As had been said, we now really do have strength in depth and solid options at centre-half. We’re starting to be defensively solid and aren’t conceding many goals or gifting soft goals/chances away. It’s great to see!
  10. Aye, our results have improved considerably. I still wouldn’t fancy our chances of topping a group including Russia, but we’d give them a closer run for their money than two defeats, aggregating 6-2 tae them. A lot of beatable teams as potential opponents, but we could also be drawn in a section with Sweden and Serbia, which would be tough, if not insurmountable.
  11. I’m delighted tae see the back of Provan. McCoist is so much better than that total erse.
  12. I didn’t think we could get Russia. Assuming that’s the case, we’d be in with a good shout of being very competitive against any of the teams we draw and winning the group. I’m utterly desperate for us to be at Germany '24. It will be brilliant!
  13. Evidently we both love our cliches (deserved one, though) 😆🔥
  14. Dykes scores again for QPR to put them one up in the 90th minute against Swansea. The big man’s on fire!
  15. Dykes has played well for us and gives us a genuine target man to play up front. He’s back scoring for QPR, which is great to see 👍
  16. Ah, right, thanks. Good, ‘cos I’d be gutted if Clarke left us now.
  17. Not necessarily trivial if McKay and Clarke are good friends and Celtic are genuinely interested in him 🤔
  18. As well as the points already raised in this thread, Celtic have announced they have a new Chief Executive, SRU’s Dominic McKay, starting in the summer, so unless he does an unlikely bit of moonlighting, they won’t appoint a new manager until after then. That would explain why Kennedy is interim for the rest of the season. I hope Clarke stays at Scotland. Celtic are likely to want a bigger name imo given Rangers have a big name in Gerrard.
  19. Absolutely. I have high hopes for Patterson and think he has the potential of being a good Scotland right back for years and he would have replaced Tavernier last night if he hadn’t been so utterly stupid. Tavernier looks to have damaged his medial knee ligaments and could be missing for quite a few games. Instead of getting invaluable game time in big European games and winning the league with Rangers, Patterson will be lucky to play for the club again 🤦🏻‍♂️
  20. Chelsea are away tae Barnsley the morra night, so hopefully he starts and plays well and makes Tuchel realise how good he is.
  21. Hickey’s also two-footed and could fill the problematic rwb position if he plays in Serie A most of the season. He’s already playing at a higher level than O’Donnell and Palmer.
  22. He’s made a huge difference and been outstanding for us. WE HAVE QUALIFIED!!! Yaaaass 🤩🤘🏼🥳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  23. Aye, that’s right. When Burke was at Leipzig, he was recorded as the fastest player in the Bundesliga that season; the guy’s at sprinter levels of pace.
