  1. I believe you'll need to create 4 accounts, order individually and then link tickets after the fact.
  2. Anyone still waiting for tickets? Had nothing through the post yet, and haven’t had an email saying chosen for collection either. 😕
  3. Worst case scenario is we’re the only pot 2 team not to qualify directly. That means we’d be top League B playoff seed so would get a home game in the first tie, and then it’d be against 3 of 7 from: Estonia, Ukraine, Iceland, Slovenia, Ireland, Albania, Montenegro. 4 of those would be drawn into the League A play off, and the other 3 put with us in league B. If we're going to have to do it via the playoffs we want at least two from Israel, Bosnia and Serbia to qualify directly so we get a home fixture for our first playoff game.
  4. 2024-2025 Nations League wiki page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024–25_UEFA_Nations_League : Possible addition of CONMEBOL teams[edit] In an interview with Polish website meczyki.pl, UEFA vice-president Zbigniew Boniek said that all ten teams from CONMEBOL, South America's football federation, may join the UEFA Nations League from the 2024–25 edition of the competition.[8] The plans, which would act as a response to FIFA's biennial World Cup plans, are part of enhanced cooperation between the two organisations following the signing of a memorandum of understanding and the opening of a joint office in London.[9] The proposal would see the six highest-ranked South American teams joining League A, with the remaining four joining League B. However, as CONMEBOL submitted a request to FIFA to maintain the round-robin qualification format for the 2026 FIFA World Cup,[10] the possibility of adding South American teams remains in question.

  6. The annoying thing is, if they’d started those three teams on 6 points instead of deducting points from the bottom placed team, we’d have a much better chance of getting that best placed 2nd team than we do now. 🙈
  7. Gordon Hickey Hendry Gallagher Taylor Gilmour McLean McGregor McGinn Christie Adams I wouldn’t be surprised if he went for that - maybe even Jack over Gilmour. Stick with the four at the back and then pack the central midfield to give the extra screening cover for our weakened defence. It goes to a flat 5 midfield when out of possession with McGinn and Christie wide. During quick transition to defence it allows Gilmour etc to push wide to pick up with McGinn and/or Christie to cover centrally.
  8. Not completely gone, but would need Armenia to beat Ireland in Dublin so incredibly unlikely. 😕
  9. Big blow losing McTominay, especially from a height point of view. McLean's been coming on so wouldn't be surprised to see him get the nod in midfield.
  10. Did it come back into fashion by Wigan Athletic fans singing 'Will Grigg's on fire' a number of years ago, and then suddenly teams co-opted it for their own teams/players?
  11. Yeh, you're right. Though there are other important matches for us. Best case for us if we lose is Ireland also lose. If we both lose we're virtually guaranteed to get Pot 2 unless we lose by at least 6 to Ukraine. If Ireland win/draw then we need 4 other sets of results to all go our way to still make Pot 2: B2 - Iceland not to win Iceland are away to Albania. B3 - Montenegro to finish second and Romania to finish bottom. Montenegro are at home to Finland, Romania are at home to Bosnia. Romania must lose and Finland cannot win. B4 - Sweden to finish bottom/not win. Sweden are away to Slovenia. Sweden cannot win TL;DR - Iceland, Sweden and Finland all must not win, and Romania must lose. If those all happen we can get leathered by a cricket score from Ukraine and still get Pot 2.
  12. Ball retention was a big issue for the most part. I think everyone gave the ball away extremely cheaply at one time and it was nothing to do with Austria carrying out some fantastic press. Squad depth is perhaps not quite as good as we'd have hoped. 😕 Just have to take the positives from these two draws against higher ranked sides. I'll happily take those now if it means we're peaking when we need to get the two wins. But as mentioned earlier, the inability to hold onto leads is concerning going into the play-offs. A similar issue almost meant we came a cropped in qualifying for the Euros. Getting a lead and seeing a game out will be vital for our qualification hopes, especially away from home. Keeping Gilmour and McGregor fit is going to be important for these play-offs.
  13. Also, the Nations League is hugely important for the 2024 Euros. Not just from a potential back up play-off spot from winning the group (UEFA yet to confirm how it will work this time) but from a seeding for the Euro Qualifiers. If it's the same as Euro 2020, the seedings will be based on the Nations League rankings so winning our group will get us to be second seeds for the qualifiers and a better chance of direct qualification. We'd need to either win the group or be the best ranked 2nd team to get into the top 20 and that crucial second seed place.
  14. Russia are in our pot and they can't be drawn against Ukraine so that immediately increases our changes of getting them. It's inevitably going to be a draw of teams we'll be sick of playing so we'll get Ukraine, Israel, and Albania.

  16. And the odds of drawing them in the semi would be ever so slightly higher due to the Ukraine-Russia prohibited fixture meaning they could only play 5 of the 6 seeded teams. Also means if we did get Ukraine in the semi we wouldn't be playing Russia in the final which then makes Portugal and Italy more likely... 😕
  17. Referee for tomorrow night seems pretty card happy. Wonder what that will do for availability in the play off game.
  18. Yeh, if we lose it's pretty much impossible. Would need Wales to lose to Belgium by more than we lose to Denmark, AND for Czech Rep not to beat Estonia AND Turkey to not beat Montenegro AND Noway to not beat Holland or beat Holland by 6 AND Finland to not beat France by 2, and that's assuming we only lost by 1. A few of those might happen, but the odds of them all must be astronomical. A point tomorrow is vital and then it's just a case of seeing what happens on Tuesday. Or we win and it doesn't matter. ☺️
  19. In that scenario if Spain beat Sweden 2-0 tonight, and as long as Turkey don't beat Montenegro by 4 we'd actually be seeded.
  20. Finland can only finish on 14 with a win, so it's down to 2 scenarios from the remaining 5. It's all going our way already. 😂
  21. Perfect results tomorrow: Spain to beat Sweden by 3 and Russia to beat Croatia Then we'd go into our game knowing a draw guarantees a seeded place. *fingers crossed*
  22. A win gets us seeded 100%. Need 4 teams to finish below us, and a win means that there would be 5 groups below us guaranteed.
  23. If Wales win by 4 it would mean that they would jump ahead of us in the seeding if we both drew our final game. 😕
  24. Yeh, if they win they get up to 14pts +4, and if we lose we go to 14pts +4, but they're ahead on GS - apart from us scoring more goals than the Czechs do in the final game and they only win by 1. The only way to take the Czechs out of the picture is for us to pick up more points, as realistically they're fairly certain to jump ahead of us if we lose. Looking at the second place table: Russia beating Croatia by 2 and Malta finishing bottom of their group would be lovely.
  25. Wales dropping points tonight would be nice, but it doesn't really help us getting a seeded spot if we lose to Denmark. If the Czechs beat Estonia they go ahead of us on GS* unless we lose while scoring more than they do - such as Czechs only winning 1-0 and we lose 2-3 and pip them on Goals Scored. And the Norway result isn't particularly big for us in the grand scheme of things as Turkey are looking good for finishing on 15pts which means we'll need to get a point off Denmark anyway to stand a chance. The only way it's in our own hands is to beat Denmark, anything else results in us waiting until Tuesday to see whether other results overcome us either on points or GD. Lose to Denmark are we're pretty much certain to be unseeded, and even a draw has Turkey in a position of knowing that sticking 4 past Montenegro gets them ahead of us.
