  1. The time is nearly upon us, with the start of the world famous Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal Predictor It's the same platform as we used for last year's competition, as well as the highly successful World Cup one - so if you've played previously, you're already halfway there. How to get involved Firstly, you need to have a profile, so if you don't already have one, create yours on the website - link at the end The Competition Like the World Cup competition, we'll run it with 50% to the winner and 50% to the Sunshine Appeal AND to give a little more interest for the end of the season, we’ll be doing a couple of fun additions*, with the best goal difference getting a 'Bucket Hat' and the lowest points scorer (Aka the wooden spoon) getting a 'Scotland Also Invented' tee shirt * To make it fair, these prizes are based on those who’ve entered their predictions for at least 90% of the fixture PLUS In addition to this, we'll do Winter Break leader, which will be a voucher to use in our online shop to the value of £30 Joining Instruction Why not join it with the fun and show off your guessing prowess? Once you are on your profile page, you join the 'Scottish Premiership' competition, then you’ll see an option to join a mini-league – this is where you put the code to join our elite band of guessers If you send £10 via PayPal to info@tasunshineappeal.co.uk, using the Family and Friends option - this part is important as not using this option, only £9.54 reaches the Sunshine Appeal account. Once you're payment has been made, we'll then send you the code to join the competition - this is to your PayPal email address https://www.predictthefootball.com Best of luck

Dougie Wotherspoon of the Sunshine Appeal receives the cheque for £700 from WESTA’s Watty Peacock.

  4. As well as our stock of donated foreign currencies, we're also asking for your Peruvian Soles and Mexican Pesos. Saves them from cluttering up your drawers (oo, missus) and we will send them on to our two recent recipient charities in those countries.
  5. We never cease to be moved by the selflessness of some of the Scotland fans. We appreciate the hard work that goes behind organising such a venture and are deeply grateful for the support. We thank Davy, and his travelling caravaners, for this gesture.
  6. Sad though it is that we're missing out again, in order to keep a bit of interest going in it, we'll be launching our World Cup Predictor competition pretty soon. It means more when there's money on it. Or something.
  7. The Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal thanks Davy Provan - and all who will help - for thinking of us and our funds. This will be a particularly onerous year for Appeal funds and, having no corporate backers, we rely on initiatives like this to keep going. Thank you again.
  8. Proof that luck does play a part .................. a large part

  14. It’s taken a bit longer than we’d anticipated but we’re pleased to share with everyone, that we can offer (limited) spaces for people who wish to attend the donation, of £5,000 (circa €5,500) to Vilnius Social Club. The donation will take place early afternoon on match day, remember it’s a 21.45 KO time locally, with everyone meeting at a central point to the travel either via public transport or shared taxis to the donation venue. As well the formalities of the presentation, we’ve been given a challenge and its one we can’t refuse!!! The kids (varying ages) want to show off their footballing skills and take us on in a kick about – we’ve got an unbeaten record as we’ve won in Serbia and drew in Macedonia, so no pressure there then!! If you’d like to come along, the football bit is optional, please drop us a line with your name and number of people who’d like to be there and we’ll get back to you early next week, once we’ve got a better idea on numbers. Please email us at info@tasunshineappeal.co.uk Thanks to everyone who make these occasions possible. #EverywhereWeGo #TheOriginalSince2003

  17. ***Final Weekend Warning*** Count this as your final reminder for your predictions. We move into the final weekend with the scores unbelievably tight. 1 point separates our top two. Who will come out on top? Good Luck!!! *Please Note due to a technical issue Kevin Davidson is on 919 points due to the system not accepting his predictions in one match however his entry was received via PM well before kick off. (2 points for correct goals scored by Celtic v Ross County.)
  18. We are delighted to announce that the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal will be making a £5,000 charitable donation in Holland, to coincide with the fantastic achievement of the Women's National Team qualifying for the 2017 Euro Finals. This additional donation could only be made from the fantastic fundraising support we receive from the wider TA, particularly during the past 12 months. We are aware that potentially a few hundred Scotland fans are planning on travelling to the tournament, and we'd like to hear your travel plans and matches you intend on attending, as we would love some of the travelling support to join us at the donation. Please complete this short survey, which will help us identify the most appropriate location and recipient, which we'll share in the outcome of in due course http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/7NC1X/ #EverywhereWeGo #TheOriginalSince2003
  19. Now we know the match venue has been confirmed as Vilnius, just a wee bump back up the list, so you can see details of YOUR Lithuania donation #EverywhereWeGo #TheOriginalSince2003

  22. Well done to both Marion Daly and Stuart McDougall who both finished Manager of the Month for March. With absolutely nothing separating them with 3 perfect scores each, we will run a tie breaker competition. If both winners could contact us before kick off, with their prediction of the first goal time in Wednesdays Celtic v Partick Thistle match. Closest correct time will win MotM for March.
