  1. £50 x 35,000 members = £1.75 million is the point for the SFA. Unfortunately for the membership, that comes with no guarantees of satisfactory service.
  2. Absolutely this. What is this obsession for gambling for 7 points when 3 points are being offered on a plate? The time to gamble on 7 is in the last quarter of the game if you are behind. Certainly not when you are in the first half with a free opportunity to add to your lead.
  3. Viaplay? You mean OFTV? TV and radio coverage of Scottish football is so blatantly funnelled towards the ugly sisters that it is no longer listenable or watchable.
  4. More likely they'll send an e-mail charging us 3 quid per game for issuing new codes 'to cover operational costs'.
  5. Brewery, piss-up, couldn't run and SFA in the same sentence? Surely not?
  6. The current system is administratively easy to manage for SSC staff, and is fair and transparent for all. Please talk us through how your proposal above would work.
  7. Had the pleasure of talking to him on a BA flight to Zurich in 1997. A gentleman who took time to take an interest when he didn't need to. Every respect for him.
  8. Take a bow Steve Clarke, two qualifications and a WC play-off since being appointed in 2019 speaks volumes for your managerial skills. Another qualification is a welcome return to the 70s, 80s and 90s model when we did so almost out of habit!!
  9. I'd recommend the book 'Palestinians and Israelis' by Michael Scott-Baumann which was published last year. It's a clear, concise and well balanced analysis of the background and history, in my view.
  10. Leanne Crichton is generally OK. However, she's insufferable when she's covering a Jags game involving Brian Graham.
  11. I'd imagine information will only be forthcoming after loyalty points for the Spain and France games are taken into account.
  12. Well said. Several posters on here would benefit traffic on the board by some reflection and winding their necks in a bit. Re Barga, there's been a litany of families from that region that integrated and made major contributions to West of Scotland society since the back of the 19th century. The legal and estate agency areas are places to look for examples. The Pordenone (Dolomites) and Sassuolo/Parma (Emilia Romagna) regions have also seen enclaves establish successfully in Scotland.
  13. Viaplay probably asking for a refund now that Celtic are out. After Sevco, what game do they cover now??
  14. Why? Given Kilmarnock's start to the season (no goals conceded) and Celtic looking like a rabble, this result was always on if Kilmarnock scored first.
  15. Didn't know Bayern Munich had changed their name. Oh wait.....................Paul Gascoigne's Lazio immediately springs to mind.
  16. The Band (self titled album) is a treasure. As any album that highlights 'drunkards dreams' should be. RIP Robbie Robertson.
  17. Sorry to contradict you VA. In 2020/21 the Champions League qualifiers were single leg affairs due to the pandemic. Celtic beat Reykjavik 6-0 and then lost to Ferencvaros 1-2, both at home before going to the Europa League.
  18. Heard yesterday that former Celtic, Morton, St Johnstone and Thistle player (and in the latter case manager) passed away on Friday. St Johnstone legend Shaun Rooney is his great-nephew. Like Craig Brown, one of Scottish football's good guys. RIP Benny.
