  1. We've got a Cricova wine tour booked for 3pm on the Wednesday. It is indeed just 20 mins from town. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Cricova/@47.1382405,28.8554119,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xe743137feba5db02!8m2!3d47.1382405!4d28.8554119
  2. I’ve contacted a pub in Chisinau (the Czech pub that Ted Christopher has his gig at) tonight and they have confirmed normal trading hours. Our Airbnb host has confirmed likewise.
  3. Driving license is permitted. The English FA confirmed this in comms to their supporters club about entry requirement at Wembley. While there are differences (like COVID test/vaccine proof), the ID element won’t be any different for Hampden. Just remember though that you would need to go into your ticket on the app and change the ID details if you had originally registered your passport. Information information for Croatia game. See link below www.thefa.com/.../euro-2020-and-nhs-app • Failure to provide one of these forms of evidence will mean you are unable to enter the stadium • Food and drink will be available inside the stadium on all levels – this includes alcohol • Flags and banners will be allowed into the ground without the need for filling out a form prior to the match • Your ID – ticket holders will be asked to show a valid photo ID upon entry (i.e. passport or driver’s license) • If you do not have a smartphone please head to UEFA’s Ticket Office, located at the Wembley Arena, on match day or the day before from 10:00 • Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test (LFT) via the NHS App if you are 16 and over and registered with a GP in England. Your LFT result will show in the NHS App once you have reported it using the NHS self-report tool. Our LFT result will show in the NHS App once you have reported it. You can access it via the Share my status tab (passcode euros) • Or proof of full vaccination - both doses received at least 14 days prior tothe match (demonstrated via the NHS App or via the Scottish or Welsh vaccination record services) • Your face mask – Unless you have proof of exemption you will not be allowed entry without one • UEFA have given every ticket holder a 30-minute entry slot. It is strongly recommended that you arrive in this time slot to help facilitate social distancing when entering the stadium. If you arrive late for your slot you will still be allowed entry into the ground
  4. He was completely out of order. Put his hands on the staff member (woman with curly blonde hair), basically acting like a dirty old man. Didn’t hear what he said but can imagine from the way he was acting and her reaction. If you saw someone acting like that with a lassie on the street or train at home you’d either lamp him or alert the police. Being pished on cheap bevvy in a foreign country is no excuse. Someone at the front of the queue rightly had a word with him and got a volley of abuse as a result. The G4S boy stood idly by. We had our tickets in hand so didn’t see if anything else happened. However, clearly the staff were already concerned with the numbers filling the lobby and the prick in the yellow shirt would hardly have put them at ease. the SFA girls were good. Set up quick and got things moving but perhaps better plans could have been made with the hotel to find a more suitable space as said above.
  5. Some of the comments on here are way off the mark. Shxthole, hell hole, dump? None of these come anywhere close to describing how bad Luton is.
  6. Hi Davy. Thanks for arranging. Could you put me (Russell Campbell) down for 4 seats please? cheers
  7. In the past did they use “from” before the membership price? Sounds to me that the discounted membership fee will have some conditions such as £40 if signing up a junior also or a season ticket package. Can’t knock the £5 junior price although again wonder if that will be conditional.
  8. Potentially although would be a surprising investment on a stadium they haven’t guaranteed continued use of. Could be a requirement for the Euros I suppose to have electronic entry systems. Can’t see them doing it just for the purposes of policing home points. What’s to stop you giving your chipped card to someone else?
  9. Was at Stoke v West Brom today. Best league in the world? Aside from a couple of tidy finishes, this game was bereft of any quality. Fletch was decent enough in the first half but woeful after the break before being subbed. Burke only got the last ten minutes or so and barely touched the ball - they hardly shipped it wide left at all. What is clear is that he won't develop with West Brom. They are a truly awful team.
  10. Is that in Islington? There is an Albion is Blackfriars too but is a Youngs pub so doubt they show football. edit, I stand corrected. See that the one in Blackfriars does show sport.
  11. Any suggestions of where to watch the Slovakia match in London? Due to work commitments, I can't make it up to Glasgow. Can hopefully ditch my customers before kick off and hot foot it to a pub. Will be in Shoreditch so somewhere central/north-east would be ideal. failing that it will back to the hotel and no doubt causing alarm for people in the rooms next door as I scream at the telly.
  12. Here's a quick effort without changing too much. Hey wee man wi the big stick in yer hand wont you play a simple melody?Just to remind me o' the girl I left behind me wont you play a simple melody? For ahm comin' back Bonnie Mary ahm comin home to youAhm comin back in the good old summer timeWhen the bagpipes are playin for auld lang syneAnd we'll roam the hills togetherAmong the purple heatherBonnie Mary o' Argyll. For we held a grand procession as we marched To see our teamTen Thousand tartan army - the likes ye've never seenWe will never be mistaken of being fae the land beyond CarlisleWhen they hear us singin' Bonnie Mary o' ArgyllFor we're a' Scotsmen everyone a ScotsmanBuffalo Bill frae Mary HillNever worked and never willAye man believe it if ye canThere was Hielan JocksIn tartan socksScotsmen Every wan.
  13. Also, they (Sfa) really don't do themselves any favours. What if someone had bought a flight last night off the back of being told 8-10 points would get them a ticket and the statement that Lithuania point wouldn't be added/Poland taken off. They could say they were following advice not tonly book travel until ticket was guaranteed.
  14. While it is ridiculous that they said the couldn't update the points table within two weeks, it is also a bit of a joke that they've now changed their minds and gone against what was said yesterday. i was actually due to benefit as couldn't go to Lithuania but I wonder how many of those that have been so outraged on this thread were actually impacted. As has been said, vast majority who were in Lithuania were likely also in Poland so no change.
  15. f it was the one by the bridge at Bewick, it was Tessa Hartmann and Pat Kane that were on. They did a live vote of the audience and Yes came out on top by a large margin.
  16. Yeah, that's the one. Was an outdoor broadcast (well in a marquee anyway) if I remember rightly. I'd put money on it being the same guy.
  17. I'm sure I've seen him before. Possibly QT or might have been Newsnight pre Indy Ref. Whatever it was, he was giving it the same big man, chest beating, no surrender routine.
  18. Can see where you are coming from but would advise against it. Kings Cross & st Pancras are major travel hubs and therefore security is always a big concern. Can't see the police being too keen with crowds of people drinking outside the station. Granary Square has lots of bars and restaurants but not pubs. Really nice places and some are among our best customers someouldnusually recommend them but doubt they will be keen on welcoming large groups of football fans.
  19. Porterhouse in Covent Garden was one we were talking about earlier as well. Good size and space to overflow outside if it is rammed. Sure they heat the outdoor area as well if I remember rightly. If busy I think would be good for atmosphere. So many good pubs around though but Covent Garden/Soho area seems like a good bet to easily find somewhere with a good atmosphere.
  20. Excellent. Cheers. Journeys weren't showing when I checked them out before.
  21. Quoted £80 for a 6 seater with private hire firm. Cheapest train route is £7.60 up to £23 if using gatwick express.
  22. I'll get a quote for a 6 or 7 seater. Can also look at uber when we land as that will be the cheapest by far. Failing that we can hop on the trains.
  23. Bump. If anyone is on this flight and if it is indeed a +90 minute wait for a bus to Bratislava then drop me a PM if you fancy sharing a cab. Also, we are on the 11:05 BA flight from Glasgow to London City. Just two of us so will probably just transfer to Gatwick on public transport (4 trains). Again, if others doing the same then may be worth sharing a taxi.
  24. Those that know me will confirm that I am never funny. I probably wouldn't wear heels though like Dave does. Accident waiting to happen on the cobbled streets of old town Bratislava. So, if the national dress is what you were talking about, what are you talking about now?
  25. What about tight denim hot pants like those worn by Dave in the Moneysupermarket ads? Would they constitute jeans or are the ok as there are bare legs on show? If not then I might just not bother making the trip. I want my point though. Shit, run the gauntlet of the fashion police or risk punishment for harvesting?
