Uncle Albert

Apparently I bore people with my tales of travelling watching Scotland, and growing up my two best mates were Del (Derek)and Rod(erick) and thus I got labelled Uncle Albert.......true!!

We are on the Manchester - Paphos flight on Friday and were planning to taxi it into the centre of Paphos to our hotel and then walk to a few pubs.

We got flights and B and B for £265 Manchester-Paphos- Manchester from Friday until Tuesday with "On The Beach"

Looked at larnaca but living in Manchester we found direct flights to Paphos (and thus avoiding the chance of missing connecting flights in Germany/Austria) so we have book Manchester - Paphos.

Davy can I be a pain? I booked two seats from Larnaca but we have found direct flights into Paphos from here in Manchester, can I cancel the two from Larnaca and book two from Paphos (they are booked under Andrew Lamb/ Manchester TA) sorry to mess you about. I owe you a pint!!

Andy, I am going Manchester - Frankfurt - Tirana. I did look at Istanbul but decided to go withthe Germany option.

Being the sole member (as far as I know) of The Manchester TA, I will be going with The Stockport TA, but they are going after the game and I have another night after in Tirana. I will give you a call when we get over there. Did you say Mario et al, were going Frankfurt to Tirana on the Friday? I may meet them at the airport as well.

Anyone else doing Manchester- Frankfurt the onto Tirana on the Friday? The good/bad thing is on the way back I have a six hour stop over in Frankfurt (an excuse to head into Frankfurt for a few beers or be sensible and get a few in the airport)

I am out Friday back Monday.

Andy, I am doing Manchester - Frankfurt - Tirana and the same on the way back. I did look at Manchester - Athens -Tirana and Manchester - Istanbul - Tirana but settled on the first option. I will catch up with you lads over there for a pint or five!!!

I will be renewing, the way I look at it, you pay a few quid and are guaranteed tickets for home games and you have the chance of tickets for away games, thus avoiding the hassle of IF we get in a position where we may qualify then a ticket is there for us.

The lads down here (Stockport TA/Manchester TA/ a couple of the Preston Lads and Liverpool TA), have occasional get togethers either in Manchester or Liverpool I could give you a shout for the next one if you like?? It's always a good laugh and of course the beer flows freely. I just find getting home sozzled the worrying part (wrong tram/train or bus etc. from Manchester Piccadilly)

The Victoria Bar is normally jumping, it's on Victoria Road, Govanhill, about a ten minute walk from Hampden, great atmosphere, DJ and the beer is quite reasonable.It opens at 11.Bookies and food takeaways all nearby. I meet my mates/fellow footsoldiers in there on account of living down in Manchester now. Hope this helps.

Lads, The Stockport Tartan Army have semi-regular meet ups and it's always nice to talk Scottish football and have a few pints with like minded individuals.

My other half and I have bought a house in Newall Green.Sharon is a born and bred Manc, me I am a Glaswegian who has lived in Bolton, Stockport and Ashton-Under-Lyne. I am getting the train on Thursday morning from Piccadilly to Euston and meeting up with 1ANDYP et. al. in the afternoon. The Mancs are on the whole a nice bunch of folk, I have never had any hassle for wearing my kilt down here.

I get to London next Thursday and plan to go to North Gower Street where they film Sherlock for a look, and then off to Paddington Station to see the statue of Paddington (sad but true!!) and I meeting up with my mates (who will have been in the pub all afternoon and well on their way.) Ah the joys!!!

Any spare tickets going......I am I the same boat as many others in that my Facebook visits are few and far between, seems a shame as it is literally around the corner from where I am staying and seems like it will be a great night. Can anyone with a spare PM me There's a pint or two in it for you!!!!
