PLEASE READ: TAMB is not closing!   10/12/2017

Just to provide an update on the future of the Tartan Army Message Board. To be clear the board will not be closing and instead will be staying open and will hopefully go from strength to strength. Who Are We? We are a group of Scotland supporters who have varied skills and expertise, along with experience of  being involved in football and running football message boards. When we heard the TAMB faced closure, we contacted the old team with a detailed plan which involved financing and running the board. After speaking to the old team on a number of occasions they have allowed us to put our plan into action. While speaking to them and going on their experience and that of those before them, we have elected to keep our identity private, however rest assured we have the best intentions for the board and those on it. Our Plans. Our plan will involve a number of stages which we hope will not only keep the board going but help improve and rejuvenate it. Our first step will be to do a bit of a clean-up of the board. This will involve some downtime for a few hours where posting will be disabled. We plan to do this early next week, a full notice will be posted on the board then. Once that is completed we will be upgrading the current board platform, both behind the scenes and hopefully aesthetically too. There will be an ongoing process of board improvements which we hope you, the user will help us with, so you have a board you will enjoy We thank the old board team for all their hard work, dedication and their help during this handover and hope you will all help support our plans going forward.

  1. Can't see it being a sell out, especially as Scotrail trains going north from Glasgow going to have part journey covered by buses - unbelievable (no, typical) !!!
  2. He had a good game against Lithuania but wasn't great last night. However think he's shown over two games that he has strength, good workrate, speed and ability - although needs to improve shooting, placement rather than blasting & he should have had goal in each game. Offers up much more than Forrest & should definitely get nod ahead of him in Slovakia game.
  3. McLeish did well in his time in charge but don't think it would be right decision to bring him back. Very few managers do as well second time round and he's been out off management too long - having not done that well in most recent roles. No idea who'd be right man at this time - no obvious candidates.
  4. Another good team performance today & lot of talent on show. Gemmill does a great job encouraging / organising from the sidelines. Poor referee - some atrocious decisions & fell for all Serbia's play acting. Hopefully do business on Wednesday to qualify for Croatia.
  5. Excellent performance & lot of promising talent on display. Hope can keep it going in their next two games.
  6. Was there last year & would recommend just wandering about to find places as so much choice. Lots of friendly bars in la Latina area.
  7. Kingsley a good option
  8. Has to be Kingsley before Mulgrew who's played very little this season due to injury. Kingsley is an excellent player and was called in to squad for France / Italy friendlies and did make his debut as a sub.
  9. Just wanted to say well done mate - buses were really well organised and my party were well pleased by transport - cheers
  10. The turnstile issue on exit could have easily caused problems. Guy in front of me got separated from his young son due to folk pushing to get out because those further back weren't aware of fact people were having to exit via 2 turnstiles. Can't see this as meeting FIFA stadium safety regulations.

  12. Hope you have recovered. Looking for two seats if any become available. Thanks
  13. Be aware there are several terminals so will also have to bear that in mind if you have to change terminals, which will add a wee bit more time. But should still be ok.
  14. Been a couple of times and it's a great place - although not overly big. Lots of bars & clubs with music as big student population. People are vey friendly and have to say never found it to be over priced / expensive. Castle been done up too so worth a walk up if hour or so to waste. There's (or at least was) a really nice Slovenian restaurant over the bridge & up near tourist info (had a great big wooden chef outside) and really nice Italian (but can't remember its name). Lake Bled is worth a visit (if you get a nice day) or other place we went in car was Postojna Caves. Had to go on toll road and was no bother - although they do tend to drive right up your bumper before pulling out to overtake. This guide is useful www.visitljubljana.com/en ENJOY
  15. Cheers - agree that its a far better Chinese
