  1. My annoyance is we play friendlies and never try anything - the sum total of our experimentation last night was taking a bloke on who's doing mint in Serie A and giving Shankland 15 minutes. Patterson was having a honker but understandably wanted to keep him on - why not play him right wing second half and have a right back behind him? Try the same with Robertson and Tierney next friendlies (and hopefully Hickey back) then the wide problem is fixed for 4-5-1 as an option. Instead we had 5 center midfielders just clogging up space last night. Why not chuck someone in from the u21s and all? If they're shit nothing lost but if they have a good game it might help them break through at their club.
  2. I'm hopeful too as the crowd booing seemed to sting a few - there's been a bit of the big 'we are' since qualifying so hopefully this is a rocket up their arse as we're not good enough just to rock up and tippy tap about a bit.
  3. I’ve seen the old fucker walking football on a Sunday move it quicker
  4. Completely ran out of ideas - can see them pinching a second
  5. This is wank - Paterson and Dykes confidence is shot to shit
  6. My wee one on the other side is half nomadic Tibetan (wife's family were yak herders up the mountains when the Chinese invaded) and defo has Sherpa genes - complete and utter beast mode!
  7. Kate apparently having an international dabble at photoshop must be peak 2024 already!
  8. House of Ninjas on Netflix is decent and the dubbing isn't too bad although subtitles is better. Gets a bit weird in places but still decent. Shogun on Disney has been good so far too and think it's loosely based around real historical events. The lead English fella is a bit much at points but the Japanese folk are really good. It's a bit like Game of Thrones with Samurai instead of dragons and incest. The Gentlemen is orate but just smacks of Guy Ritchie's greatest hits cobbled together. Furies on Netflix is pretty good a couple of episodes in - Femme Nikitta / Point of no Return vibes where a bunch of assassins basically act as VAR for the underworld.
  9. Blew that - every other side would have put the hammer down after the third try but our arse melts in that type of scenario. easy money off the bookies is a consolation
  10. Indiscipline and pish handling- could beat us double figures here.
  11. Been terrible second half
  12. Well we’re fucking this up
  13. +11 on bet365 evens seemed generous- this could go either way. Making silly mistakes
  14. That is fucking awful if true - looks like a primary school kid got hold of Powerpoint and just went nuts!
  15. Fair play to Barnes for nailing his colours to the mast and we should stop whoring ourselves out on cases like this. Can't see him getting a call up to the England squad at 26 given the talent they've got so if he changes his mind again if a World Cup is possible then we should say 'thanks but no thanks'. I'd rather blood u21s and see what happens.
  16. Don't half make it convoluted: How does Women's Euro 2025 qualifying work? The qualifiers will see each team face the other teams in their group home and away. Group winners and runners-up from each League A group automatically qualify, with the remaining seven places taken by the best-ranked sides from all three leagues. All third and fourth-placed teams from League A will go through to the play-offs. The top three teams in each League B group will also make the play-offs. If Switzerland finish in the top three of their group, then the best ranked fourth-placed team from League B will go into the play-offs. From League C, the five group winners and three best-ranked runners-up will reach the play-offs. The 28 teams making the play-offs will be whittled down to seven, with the first round being split into two paths. The eight sides from League A will be drawn against the eight sides from League C. The six best teams from League B will face the six lowest-ranked teams from League B. Both sets of matches are two-legged. In the second play-off round, the remaining 14 teams will be split via seedings. The seven nations with the best ranking will be drawn against the other seven teams. The winners of those fixtures will qualify for the finals
  17. It’s a bit mental the race for the top job in US politics is between an old pervert with dementia and an old pervert. Genuinely don’t get how there’s a strong preference either way. A Stanley cup half filled with soup would surely give either a run for their money
  18. Really don't know what to make of the games to be honest - injuries and players not leaving their clubs for this but both teams will have that. In saying that lot of familiar names whereas would have seemed a good excuse for some youngsters get a run out even if we got beat. Corsie coming on to play centre midfield is a worry - surely we've got better than a lumbering centre back to plonk there when we need a goal! All seems a bit flat at the moment.
  19. Nae looked great in this Pinitar cup thingy - will reserve judgement until the Nations League but lot of the same names playing. Is there much coming through especially as Performance Schools include the girls now I think?
  20. Lad I used to work with was a Reading season ticket holder and he couldn’t stand the bloke. Matt Mills story is gold:
  21. Yeah mate Rodgers said it first then Richard Gordon repeats it in disbelief. Weapons grade bawbag!
